Technica Mining is one of Canada’ s leading mine contractors, providing underground and surface mining services, engineering, construction, maintenance, and operational support to mine operators across Canada. Founded in 1999, the company operates a large fleet of more than 250 pieces of mining equipment, supporting complex mining projects through a workforce of over 200 employees across multiple offices and client sites. At this scale, delivering consistent, real-time operational visibility across teams and leadership is critical to maintaining safe, efficient, and informed decision-making.

Through an open RFP process, Technica selected Interknowlogy to help it define where and how to apply AI across its operations. Technica, like many service-based organizations, struggled with the linear relationship between growth and resources – more projects meant more people, more resources and more administration. The challenge for InterKnowlogy was to determine where the greatest opportunities for AI existed within their organization and how best to achieve an acceptable ROI.
Technica faced a common enterprise problem: multiple decision-makers working from different versions or interpretations of the same data. Even when data existed, it was often not easily accessible, not visually intuitive, or not aligned across user groups.
This led to:
Ultimately, the challenge was not a lack of data, but a lack of clarity, accessibility, and shared understanding.
The CADDI Command Center was developed as a dynamic, visual operational dashboard designed to unify company performance data into a single, intuitive interface. Built as an operational command centre, it enables different users to easily search, filter, and interpret performance information based on their role and decision-making needs.
The solution leveraged proven visualization technology originally used to build the CNN Election Wall, enabling high-density data to be presented in a clear, real-time, and highly interactive format.
Key features included:
The CADDI Command Center significantly improved how Technica interacts with operational data by creating a shared source of truth across the organization.
Key outcomes included:
By consolidating performance intelligence into a single, accessible command centre, Technica gained a more efficient and coherent approach to understanding and acting on its operational data.
The underlying value of the engagement is that Technica will be able to scale its business without having to scale the resources required for the administration and management of their projects.
